This is stupid. I was getting "invalid token", changed password on the old forum, then I was able to get in on the new one but now the new one won't let me in.

I don't know exactly what's going on here but isn't the sensible thing to do to take the system down, transfer the files to the new system & put it on line. The chnage the old system to do nothing but redirect to the new one (and eventually remove the old system). That way no-one should have any issues, there will be no doubt about which site if any messages are going to appear on, just a short service break.

yeah brian, thats what Im doing. Right now both addresses point to the same place. No files have been moved or changed.

Everyone just delete your temporary internet files or your internet cache if your having cookie issues. Then actually type in your username and password and remember it again. The remembered passwords only work if you go to the same addresss they were originally saved for.

Im sorry for the headache but it has to be done.

both addresses still work as of now Im just trying to get everyone over to the new access DNS setting now.

Well it's started working for me. I don't know why it stopped, and I don't know why it started again. Worrying. It's not cookies because I do not allow my browser to store cookies without my explicit sayso, and I never permit cookies which can be read by a third party.

DNS address changes take 24-48 hours to propagate fully around the net so Im sure it was something to do with that.

Now to reconstruct my Joomla instance on my other host...this should really be fun.
