Autostakkert 3

Post by marktownley »

The new beta version came out for this earlier this month. It's nice, I like it, some nice feature updates. I did a quick blurb on my website, with links to download.

Thanks Mark.
Downloaded it today and will start using it from now. (Did a first run without problems, so Beta looks stable)

Mmmm it works but impossible to close down. I have to use Ctrl+Alt+del :(

Can't even delete the software, it won't let me. On there for good now unfortunately :(

Hmm, works without problems for me (seems faster that previous version)
Have you tried to "End" it with Task Manager instead of using Ctrl-Alt-Delete.

If you rebooted, you should be able to delete the folder where you unzipped the software. So what error message do you get when trying to delete?

Paul

Thanks for pointing this out, Mark.

Stu,

then you will need to disable network access to prevent Microsoft messing up your PC with their updates. Wouldn't be suprised if they send out updates in August.

Has someone tried to process multiple files? Don't get it working with AS!3. I normally use that for stacking an animation series with the same processing settings. It works in AS!2, but not output in AS!3. Maybe I have some setting that conflicts with stacking multiple files.

Hi Mark,

I do analyze, set the % of frames I like, set the alignment points and then press stack. Seems to analyze all the files again, but then stops. No files stacked. I have no problems doing this in AS!2. I have set double stack referenece, maybe that is the problem. (Will give that i try, but just removed my last session ...)

Paul

Not that much. It were around 35 10 second SER files of proms. Taken with the ASI120MM-S so these were not that big. Just tested again. Copied a 1000 frame SER file 10 times. Tried different changes in the settings (double stack, buffering, laplace) nothing helped. You see Step 1 & 2 for each image, but the other steps (allig stack ...) are not done, so nothing saved. Did exactly the same with AS2 (also the 64bit version) no problem. Think I will send an e-mail to Emiel.

Rgrds,
Paul

Problem solved. Emil suggested to try automatic selection of alignment points, that did the trick.

I would urge you if haven't done so already to download the latest version of 'v3' as there have been a few bug fixes and certainly for me on my old coal powered laptop things have sped up quite a bit.
