Thanks guys we were at a farm near silver falls state park in Oregon. I used my little 65mm refractor and canon 700D which I bought especially to travel with from Rupert last year. I can't do much more without a computer/ photoshop. Will be more when I get home. Alexandra

Alexandra:
Beautiful experience isn`t it?
One never forgets the first totality, I have attended 6 and each is the same fantastic overwhelming feeling.
You got some beautiful shots.
Best wishes and regards,

Hi Alexandra...

So glad to hear that you and your group had great views of the eclipse! It truly was an amazing experience. Love the pics...posted here and in your link.

Not sure if a trip to Chile is on the cards, though it would be a great trip. The 2024 eclipse is almost in my backyard, but early April weather is never a good thing to plan on :o

Hi Alexandra!
I have looked through all your wonderful images of the eclipse on Flickr and they turned out superbly. I am glad the weather turned out so well for you and the others.

"Lost for words" is exactly what I've said *trying* to describe this to friends that didn't make the trek to totality. I'm hooked.

Thanks everyone :) :) :) back home yesterday and back to work today, yuk!!!
Had an absolutely amazing time in America, we thoroughly enjoyed it, the weather was great, the people were so friendly and chat to you anywhere even in the supermarket and parking lots (this would never happen in the UK). I wish I lived there but then I guess everyone says that. Funny things we noticed was how amazing the American kitchen roll is, it is so HUGE and absorbent so I stole loads from our hotel and I am thoroughly enjoying using it at home. However I am very glad to get back to English toilet roll, so soft and lovely compared to the scratchy stuff in America, these are both a complete opposite. It is funny how you appreciate these two basic items
Well back to Manchester and pouring with rain, I wonder if I will see these two massive sunspots? then which eclipse shall I go to next, perhaps it will be the one in Spain in 10 years time :)

A great couple of images Alexandra! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves over there. Jet lag was a killer for several days, and then, like you straight back to work and not enough time for anything.
