Boring Sun

I prepared all my solar toys this morning only to discover later that there were really few details to image. I started with some granulation in K line but I soon give up as eventually I didn't see any sense in this, particularly after Christian showed us his results

So, only a full disc, some small prominences on the SE limb (but not in detail because I noticed them only too late while processing the disc image) and a portion of the SE limb, all with the calcium Quark to which I replaced the IR-eater glass with an Astronomik IR-cut noting an improvement in sharpness. Of the original BF I left in place only the blue glass.

So incredibly quiet. Nice images, though, Raf.

Thanks Stu. Today's page of Spaceweather.com has an
interesting article on some consequences of this solar minimum, it's worth a reading.

Apollo, yes calcium Quark is heat tunable however the bandpass is large (5A) therefore tuning has only a limited effect. Tried to stack it with a Omega Optical CaH filter but images are too dark.
