I have had another full day and night in the bush making syrup, with good weather and heavy sap runs I can hardly keep up. I am posting this form the bush...shortly after 8pm local time on Sunday night. I have the generator running for power, laptop ready, and hotspot setup on the cell for internet...if I could get food delivered I hardly need to head back to the house

I did some images last night with the moon lighting up the sugar bush, which added an interesting perspective to the starfield behind the trees. This first image is looking south, with the sugar shed in the foreground with steam rising in the moonlight and some embers glowing as they drift away form the smoke stack. The stars of the constellation Hydra are visible through the trees : The second image is looking to the west as the winter Triangle is setting behind the buildings at the neighbours, with the Moon as well: High in the south-east finds Leo in the tree tops: Finally, one of my favourite sign of spring...Ursa Major rising high the north-east, with the Big Dipper appearing to be standing on its handle: That all the images form last night...I will have a few hours more to boil tonight before I pack it in. If it is clear where you are, go out and look up...those suns look the same for us all

Take care,
Brian
