Solar images from Athens,2012-03-03
Hi All
I took some images with TSA-102S/LS50FHa/B1200 on 2012-03-03 using my DMK31AU03.AS with Neodymium Sky Glow filter.
Three first images are without Barlow while the other three are with the use of Barlow CEMAX 2X
Thanks again

Thank you All for your comments
Dennis,
I saw your image in W/L(spaceweather). Congrats.!!!
Only a note please.I visited your web page.Nice but,I noted that it does not report somewhere your equipment for H-alpha and W/L imaging.
....Remain in contact with our beautiful Star.....

I would like to see a comparison with and without the neodynium filter. other than IR/UV blocking, I cant imagine how it could help. Prove me wrong!

I think it is the IR blocking that is the key...
I'm building up to an article on it in the mods section...

Thanks Peter, you're right that there is no mention of equipment yet but that will be fixed sooner or later...

Re: Solar images from Athens,2012-03-03
Hi chris (Cschur)
To my opinion (without being 100% sure), when i removed LS50FHa DS from the LS60THa (using single telescope), I had more contrast on the disk details, using the Neodymium Sky Glow filter.
After all, Neodymium Sky Glow filter is a filter for planetary imaging, improving the contrast. Especially for the Moon and Jupiter, it has good results.
So why can't it respectively work in the case of the Sun?
Of course, if someone has a telescope with large objective, i.e. 100-152mm or larger, perhaps that difference shouldn't be noticable.
I would also like to add that I own Neodymium for quite some years now, when I was photographing planets. It's not a recent purchase!
I would want to make an addition.
Here is in color the second picture of the above images
Thanks again
