Hello everyone...
I have a few more images from Mondays session. I originally posted the full disk, but here are the longer focal length images. All images use a Lunt LS80T/DSII/B1200Ha + 2x teleconverter + Infinity 2-1M camera.
To start, the three AR's on the eastern part of disk...AR1428, AR1429 & AR1430. This is tuned to where I thought the greatest activity was seen aroudn AR11429.
Due to the cold temps, I had a lot of fiddling with the preessure tuners, and found this had a nice combination of sunspot details and the small bright features. This has poor contrast, just posting to show the difference to the above image.
Last, I have the western disk with AR1423 approaching the limb.
Now, the bigger hole I have dug for myself involves the attempt to animate 2.5 hrs of images (54 I think). I finsihed one AVI off last night but it is huge...100+ MB. Just wondering what software folks are using to generate the animations to get some form of compression to drop the imgae size. I generated it form MaximCCD, bu thsi is the only program I have to generate animations. I need to do some cropping as the frames jump around as it stays locked on the AR, so that will reduce it as bit. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian
very fine shots. You dug the hole, you jump in it, there is no way out of it
Has the second shot some newton rings ? It looks a little bit unusual to me

Re: Back to images from March 5th
Hi Walter...
I'm still in my hole...AVI file too large to upload...or so it seems. Will keep working at it.
I also noticed the bands in the one ime, and they are in many others but no where near as prominant. I took them as newton rings as well. So long as they stay fairly inconspicuous I am not going to worry.
Thanks,
Brian
