18th May - Nice day

Post by PEterW »

Had a bit of time to hand so dragged the EQ6 out, had to move the image about to smear out those little dusty doughnuts! Mix of 2x and 3x with the 80mm and CaK. Also did some 3x Wedge white light too 80mm. Then onto some experimental stuff.. what can we fit to the back of the 8" f4 reflector.... he he! Answer is a big Nothing... not the CaK and not the wedge... couldn't get focus with either!!
Maybe I should but some Baader film (ugh) and try again or maybe a cheap 120mm refractor, maybe a C11 (so I can shoot planets better)..... those high res granulation shots bug me!

Oh well, nice warm day with a pleasant breeze.

Nice imaging, Peter. Particularly I like the CaK.

Might have to buy some (ugh) solar filter material.... Focussing at f4 won't be much fun!

Cheers

Peter
