Can anyone suggest a way I can get a full disk image using the Lunt SS80 with a DMK41. I can't quite get full disk image. Perhaps a reducer that works well with this scope?
Thanks

Re: Full Disk
Hi ...
I use an Antares 1.25" 0.5x telecompressor with my Lumenera camera (threads into the nosepiece like a filter). If you thread it into a standard camera adapter you will likely get more reduction than you need. A lot of people get custom adapters made to mount the lens closer to the chip.
With mine, I get 0.8x reduction but the lens is mounted in an adapter I had from another project and the lens might be 1/4" ot 1/2" from the chip.

and you can get the shorter nose pieces to use with the FR from Owl Astronomical Products.

Hi Chuck
nope, I have only some experience with my LUNT 100 and the 0,8 reducer II from WO. That combo works for me with the basler scout 1400

Hi Chuck:
I use an Astro-physics 0.67X with my LUNT152 but I still have to make a four-panel mosaic to get a full disk image (DMK41). With the same camera and with a LUNT60 I usually make a two panel-mosaic (full disk WL and Cak). To compose the mosaics sometimes Microsoft ICE works better than PS.

Re: Full Disk
I'd do a mosaic, but then again that's what I always do

Re: Full Disk
Mark, I guess that is something I am going to have to master. I tried it with the Flea and LS35 and was not successful. Now I have the 80 and the DMK41. I will try it again.
A challenge is what I love.
Thanks
