150mm scope, Double Stack 09 01 2014

Post by Valery »

Hi all,

Today was a good day for sun imaging - enough dramatic details and fair seeing.
SkyWatcher 150mm F=750mm refractor + Aries Solar kit + LS50F etalons + PGR Flea3 ICX445 camera
200 frames out of 1240 for each photo. Astar Image 3.0 + CS6

Thanks for looking.

Valery.

Valery, top notch stuff. I always wonder when processing weather or not to make the flareing regions pure white to illustrate the drama of the sun, or to dim them down to stay unclipped. What are your thougths on this?

I use both ways - depends of the "landscape dramatism". However when they are pure white, you have largest dynamic range for other details on the screen.
