AR11445 - Light Bridge Close up in White Light

Post by marktownley »

I was surprised to find the seeing relatively good for 5pm local time so decided to have a go at getting a close up of the contorted light bridge in AR11445. Using the 100mm frac with 2.5x powermate giving me an fl of 2500mm. Baader continuum filter and fringe killer used in conjunction with the Lunt wedge, DMK31. Stacking was done with autostakkert, with IUSM applied in CS4.

Lovely image Mark. Funny how you can get ok seeing at that time of the day. I have also been surprised by good occasional seeing late in the day and its always worth having a look after work just in case.

That's a beauty Mark! very well done :)

I'd try that time of day too if I didn't have a neighbours house in the way :(
