This is Solar Chat where Freedom of Speech and Presentation rules! It has been a long time in coming. I'm so glad that Professor Ramsden has created a forum where the world can connect and share the beauty of our closest star without any restrictions! Congratulations Professor Ramsden!

Hi swisswalter, I'm in awe of what Professor Ramsden has accomplished! Also, I look forward to "Solar Chat" and all it's members sharing there passion for the Sun. . . it is a very X-citing time in Solar Astronomy!

My famly is all German on Dad's side and English on Mom's side. It is a shame I dont speak German. I do speak the language of human compassion though. How's that?

Fear not Walter, whilst in Switzerland (when i'm not on CERN duties) I will be doing the best I can to sample the fine beverages your country has to offer. I'm really looking forward to it, only a couple of days till I fly out

Well there,s no Sun down here but yes Pizza is on the menu for Saturday night and of course a few ales and perhaps a nice Red Wine to celebrate my new scope.
