Hello everyone...
I was able to spend a few hours imaging yesterday...not withouot frustratiosn of course hmy: The seeing was variable and the high thin cirrus mannaged to linger in the part of the sky the sun occupied. Clear as a bell to the west, and the cloud seemed to drift equally far west as the sun marched along it daily path too.
I did get some images none the less. I need to work on a number of barlowed shots, but I'm posting the full disk Ha/CaK/WL as well as the Ha quadrant shots.
So, to start we have the Ha full disk through the LS80T/DSII/B1800Ha + 0.8x telecompressor + Infinity 2-1M camera.
The next two were taken with a William Optics 72mm, f6 scope and the Infinity camera.
Here is the CaK shot, using the Lunt B1200CaK module:
and the WL image with the Lunt Solar Wedge + Baader Continuum/ND filters:
Below are the images of the quadrants using a 2x teleconverter, presented from the NE, NW, SW, and SE
I will post additional images once I finish processing.
Brian

Re: April 22nd images - 1st Installment
I love the 3 disc comparison! excellent work looking forward to next images.
I laughed when I read about your cloud, mine does that too! are these special solar astronomer clouds then? it's always blue sky over my head and everywhere apart from where the sun is, then they travel west to east and always obscure the sun.
Regards
Alexandra

Very sharp set of images. Sunrise clouds are always a challenge, they sit and rise with the Sun covering it up!

Hi Brian
great shots and great report. The clouds here behave almost the same, very very strange

What a great set of images, a dream for me. The WL shows a very active sun but the detail and conrast in the same is just wonderful.

Thanks for the comprehensive views Brian!
The Sun looks very bruised when you look from WL to Ha to CaK!
