I guess not many combos being used? To bad I also thirst for more user info.

yeap, no one seems to have one / post images with with used standalone anyway..
i even asked daystar for sample images and they said they have none. that's a first, a company who doesn't seem to test these...
i have one on the way and will share impressions.. i'll be using this mostly for visual, but i'll squeeze a pic somehow, don't have a video setup.

But,
re the original quark.
I had two, sold them both. I only had a 900 fl scope, so the built in barlow made it ~4m fl. That gave me a dark image visually, still usable, but dark and very magnified...
People seem to love them for video work, the barlow gives you the proper image scale.
Both my units have QC issues. The first one had paint flakes inside, from the baffles, the second one only had one small flake, but it would take forever to warm up uniformely, about 15 minutes..
I'm hoping the newer model avoids the paint flaking/contamination issues, since there's no built in barlow with a zillion little baffles. Will see in few days/when i get some Sun.

I should be able to give some notes on the Combo Chromo Quark by this weekend, if the mailman does a good job.
