SM40 FD 11/11/16

Post by DJD »

Dear All,
Got a brief strech of sunshine early on. Got the SM40/80mm F6 combo out.
Tried a dfferent processing which was only semi-successful.
Might have another go at it if the weather stays cloudy.
30 frames from a 300 frame SER PGR G3 camera.
Best wishes,
David

Fantastic detail David, despite the quiet sun. There seems to be traces of Newton Rings, or am I seeing things?

Thank you Charles.
I am being bothered with NRs at the moment. I can't see them when imaging, but occasionally make an
appearance when I push the processing. There are also some ring artefacts in the first image
due to use of a High Pass filter in an experiment.
I must start to either get to grips with using plastic bag flats more conscientiously or look at
one of the tilt/wedge solutions. Usually I am rushing to beat the clouds :-)
Best wishes,
David
