A short session on April 10

Hi everyone...

Monday had potential for solar work, but by the time I got time for lunch there was more thin/moderate cirrus cloud than clear skies. I managed to pull of a few full disk exposures with the LS80T/DSII/B1200Ha solar scope during breaks in the cloud. The image below is a composite of separate disk and limb images, with the limb inverted compared to the disk image:

I'm hoping for some clear weather on the holiday weekend to continue working on the setup of the 25cm scope.

Nice work Brian hopefully a Sunny weekend here although I was rained out today.I have just purchased a Canon 300mmf2.8 lens to go with my 500f4 for birding so I am a bit distracted at the moment.Have a good break we have our Autumn trees flowering now so I will be back getting Honey right up until June here.

Derek...hope the honey crop and prices work out for you. I remember that there was an excellent crop and good prices a year ago (may not have the exact date right). The new lens sounds great...look forward to seeing what you can catch with it

Fortunate to have clear skies last night and today which allowed a few hours imaging of both Jupiter and the sun. May get another session with Jupiter before it clouds over tonight and rain the rest of the weekend.
