Odds and ends from April 28

Post by gabrieli »

The seeing was barely adequate for my Lunt152 (3800mm)but the LS80 came through. I know the seeing can be much better than what I've seen so far this spring and I envy imagers that can justify using their large aperture ERF's for their outstanding images.

Thanks Lou I was seriously considering upgrading my 10"SCT but such are the condition here that the 100mm is more than adequate and my 150mm mod only got 3 outings in a year so for the moment I will wait but I do look forward to your results .

Hi, Derek

I estimate that I can use my Lunt152 effectively 50% of the time throughout the season when double stacked. Some of our colleagues here indicate that they sometimes wait around for moments of better seeing during a session. I haven't tried that approach but may have to.

Lou

Hi Lou...

Great images from the LS80T!

That is a very versatile scope and can really work well when the seeing is in the toilet!

Nice shots Lou! I find I can use my 80mm (with quark) most of the time...
