Massive Prominence | May 8th 2017

Post by MalVeauX »

Hello,

A perspective of the massive prominence captured on May 8th 2017.

Image

Image

Captured with a Celestron Omni XLT 120mm achromatic refractor and a Quark Chromosphere with an ASI174MM. The wider FOV was captured with the same gear, by with an Orion ST80 achromatic refractor.

Very best,
Marty

Beautiful shot.
It kept growing and growing yesterday and I was able to shoot a little bit with Lunt 60.
It's not nearly this nicely detailed.
Well done.
Jim

And Baader 5D solar film filters for all of my lenses and telescopes.
