June 14 (update 15-06)
Hi,
lots of sunshine today, some clouds forming during this mornings session.
Usual setting, 80mm with Quark Chromosphere @ f/25 - ASI 120MM
AR2662 / Quark at 0 - seeing condition:
SSSMon best seeing=0.71
SSSMon average seeing=1.29 Nice prominces on the east limb. Tried some animations but seeing conditions were to poor. So just 1 image
Regards,
Paul

Good job! I'd try stopping that 80mm down a bit, maybe 60-65mm, you will get quite a bit more contrast.

Re: June 14 (update 15-06)
Thanks Mark,
already tried that once, but could not see a big difference (at least visually). Seems in the camera I am getting less contrast than last year. If weather permits, more test to be done later today or in the weekend.
Rgrds,
Paul

Re: June 14 (update 15-06)
A reprocessed version of the previous image.
Before stacking and getting it through imPPG the SER file was rewritten with Gamma an Gain compensation to strectch the histogram. This makes the video much noisier (and vertical bands showing up) but that was reasonable cleared by AS!3. Should have had more frames to get rid of all the noise.
At least contrast is a little bit better. Not super. Will also verify the optical train, there might be some "wobble" in it.

Paul
