More of AR2665

Post by [whrudey] »

Conditions have not improved but, this is such an interesting sunspot, it cannot be ignored. Many captures before these two images were obtained. Will be tons of fun to follow over time.

Very nicely shot and processed.
I hope it doesn't over do itself and lose stability.

Hi Bill,

I like previous images of this group better. This one is a bit overprocessed (too much of "sand" at the sun edge).

If (during processing) I see "sand" I stop myself and go back with less sharpening.

Otherhan this your white light images are really great.

Thanks Valery. You're quite right re: the "sand" and over-processing. Viewing condition were quite poor today and, it became a question of over-processing vs. loss of clarity - sort of a matter of taste. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Hi Bill,

Nice capture. Same poor seeing condition over here too. I can't resist do a G-Band capture on it.
