19th July disk

Post by robert »

Really gone quiet today. Haze and wind but the seeing is quite good despite all that. I tried white light granulation with f950mm and Barlow x2.5

Beautiful shots, what filter did you use for the w/l image?

Hi Eric
I have a Lunt Herschel wedge 1.25" with a Baader ND1.8 replacing the ND3.0 that came with it and a Baader continuum on the camera nose.
All I need is some better seeing!
Robert

I rested today, as the disk on GONG looked sparse, but you produced some lovely images. Thanks for shooting a quieter day.

Beautiful disc but very quiet! certainly if there are no spots then granulation is the next winner :bow :hamster:

Hi Robert,

I was surprised to read that the FD is a white light image. I see H-Alpha features on it. What is your setup like?
