Prominences 21JULY2017 JSM

Post by Albuqshutterbug »

Nice seeing yesterday and some pretty nice prominences along the edge.
I rotated the camera to put them on top.
This is with my Lunt 60mm single stack and Celestron Skyris 236M
Stacked in AutoStakkert3 and finished and cropped in Photoshop CC.

Thank you Stu,
I have been trying to get as much image time in as I can.
Practice for the big event is starting to pay off.
Thank you Alexandra,
Are you still a go for the big event? It's almost here.
When do you arrive in the states? Are you still doing Oregon?
I will be in Madras with the Charlie Bates group.
Starting to get a little bit antsy.
;)

Jim, yes we are still going to Oregon, I too am getting very antsy as you put it. Only found out a couple of days ago I needed to pay for a Canadian eTA even though I am only passing through the airport. Didn't need anything the last time I went to Canada so this is new. What other documentation do I need which I don't know about? If I get there it will be a miracle ;)

I haven't traveled internationally since 1972 so I am certainly not the person to ask. I spent a month in Southern England near Lakenheath AFB. I only needed to make sure my shots and passport were in order. I hope you are finished getting surprised. You have had your share.

Oh I hope I don't need vaccinations as I haven't had any? I thought it was only Bears and snakes to worry about.

I got a chuckle with your response.
You did notice how long it's been since I traveled internationally?
I suspect things may have changed.
Travel safe.
