Today the first try of the new scope. 127mm Bresser Messier F9,8.The regular set up is:
160 mm D-Erf / Bresser Messier 127 F 9,8 / PST Etalon / JMI focusser / Blocking Filter B1200 / 2,5x Powermate / 2 degrees wedge prism / DMK41
20170731_164445 by bart moors, on Flickr
Way much heavier and bigger than the 100 mm Skywatcher, but the EQ5 seems to hold.
AR2670 in H-Alpha and in White light. First use of a Lacerta Herschel wedge. ND3.0 filter, solar continuum / IR-UV Block. The three dots in the upper right corner are dust bunnies. No more time to take a flat because the clouds started rolling in. Thanks for looking!

Re: First light 127mm Bresser
Thanks Pedro and Pepe! I am happy about the scope. A bit unsure about two things:
- the DMK41
- The use of a Lunt blocking filter in combination with a PST etalon.
I'll ask my questions in a separate thread and would be happy to get your advise.
