AR2670 alias AR2665
Hello everybody.
The current AR2670, which already announced on 31st of the east of the Sun with beautiful surges, is one of the rare AR which has now entered the second round.
AR2665 17.07.2017
And in color for those who like it
AR2670 02.08.2017
Here is a short animation of the AR2670. The red arrow marks the small spot in the foreground, which shows the typical Umbra waves, also called Alfvén waves. It is meant the ring-shaped pulsation in the interior of the penumbra. This phenomenon is attributed to the Umbra oscillation. The Umbra lifts and lowers periodically, pumping out hydrogen. This process serves according to the science, which cools the spot. At the main spot this pumping is not so clearly visible, since probably the Umbra, since already colder (black), no excess hydrogen has to get rid of. The distinct movement of the umbra of the large spot, however, is very perceptible.
And here is something to the squint ..... Instructions below!
AR2665
AR2670
3D INSTRUCTIONS To look at: Put yourself around 50-70cm away from the screen (depending on the screen size.) Ideal is such a broadband with 24-27", fixes the picture and starts to squint.
As soon as you see the three pictures that have been created, slowly hover your eyes from the side with your hands at a distance of about 10cm until only the middle image is visible.
Equipment:
Intes Alter T-150 f10 Maksutov
TZ combination 4X TeleVue Powermate + 0,7 Reducer. This results in a f28 value for H-alpha
H-alppha Approach: Quantum SE 0,6À + Lunt LS50 pre-filter double stack.
Celestron 0.63 Reducer and PointGrey Grasshopper3
Software: Firecaptur, Autostakkert, ImPPG, Lightroom and PS CS5.
Greetings from Switzerland, Jozef
