Full disks 3AUG2017 JSM

Post by Albuqshutterbug »

Playing around practicing for the 21st.
Shot with Skyris 236C Color Cmos camera on my Lunt 60mm Single stack.
I know color is not ideal but I also shot prominences and have not worked them yet.
I sometimes do better in color and may want to display in color in Madras.
Be gentle..
;)
Jim

Hi Jim,

A very nice colour FD from a colour camera. We used to say that we will lose too much details using colour camera. Doesn't look like you have missed much :)

Thank you Stu.
I feel for you, I have been dealing with our seasonal rain and clouds.
Thank you Alfred.
I have tried to show that there are times when I can really pull a lot of detail using this camera.
It does a nice job of displaying but does not have the fine detail during live view.
Mono is still king.
Thank you very much Alexandra.
I started off with this camera and have had really good luck with it.
All of my stacking has been with AutoStakkert2 or 3.
I stitched 2 half images together with Microsoft ICE and then took it into ImPPg which took to Mono
That gets hauled into Photoshop CC 2017 for final tweak and color.
It sometimes works well and other times not as well as I would like.
2 weeks to go...
I am heading North on the 15th to meet with a friend of mine that lives in Eugene Oregon.
I'm hoping that we don't have a lot of smoke in Madras from forest fires.
