Quick CaK Disk - 6th August

Post by marktownley »

Things weren't going to plan today; I woke up (as planned) around 5am with the intention to get up, get the filters warmed up and make the most of a first thing in the morning weather window. However, shortly after waking up I fell back to sleep and woke up again at 8am - 2 hours of sun gone (I knew cloud was coming in), so, racing around I got outside and setup. Decided to do a CaK full disk while the Quark warmed up and then the battery on the mount died - as Mrs T pointed out she can't remember the last time it was charged... So, this mornings fruit, just the one image, taken with the 40mm scope at 560mm focal length with the homebrew CaK filter and the PGR chameleon 3.

Enjoy!

Don't you just hate it when stuff happens off plan? Anyhow, at least you got something. Looks good.
