Sol from the 13th of August 2017.

Post by eroel »

Hi:
Nice sunny morning, then clouded totally and rained.
Anyway I had a chance to practice for the eclipse, i forgot how the Hinode worked, so I had to start reading the instructions, the guider really works nice.
I will just see from México City (if weather lets me), a small moon bite about 20% of the solar diameter.
Well today I did readjust the Solarmax 90-DS with the BF30 and took some images with and without the 0.5X reducer at the nose of the SKYnyx 2-2.
Also used the 102mm f/7 Stellarvue fitted with a 4X Baader telecentric and the Daystar 0.5A° t-scanner.
Thanks for looking,
Eric.

Looking good Eric and hope you get enough of a gap to record the eclipse.
