Some H Alpha fun today

Post by ffellah » Tue Sep 05, 2017 1:21 am

Hello all: today the sun was out here and it was very active. All sorts of action in sight: I am sure there will be excellent images posted from the group from this weekend. I was out and did some trial runs also in HR (last two images), but the seeing was not so great for the larger scope.

Clear skies to all...

Franco

Those look Greta Franco. Sounds like you have seeing to contend with too.

Great details, Franco, flaring in AR12673 is not easy to manage.

Hi, Franco

I remember some time ago that a contributor outlined his use of HDR techniques to capture and present features like flares that have extreme brightness
relative to surroundings.

Incredible images, Franco. Very nicely done. You can see why this active region produced such an energetic flare yesterday.

Nice images Franco

I guess you have to do a flip right on all the images (correct orientation)

Franco:
Very good images, well processed in spite of the seeing.
Which instrument is the larger one?
BTW, I agree with Pedro, if you orient your images they will look better.
Best regards,
Eric.
