Bright loop
Hello all: I was out with the Solarmax 90 DS this afternoon and I imaged this extremely bright loop....
This is actually the brightest loop I ever saw

Nice shot
I got to watch the whole thing develop, though I didn't really realize what I was seeing until I saw the loop forming. I'm too new at this to know what's normal and what isn't, but it was clear that something notable was happening when I saw that the prominence was far brighter than the solar disk itself.

Re: Bright loop
These are very bright and smooth, certainly a beautiful sight are these incoming (in the east) or outgoing (west)?

Re: Bright loop
Thank you, Alexandra. Outgoing West: my mistake, I forgot to correctly orient the image...

Re: Bright loop
Hi, Franco
You are right about how bright this was. Even when it was just beginning as a bright spot, it would cause my histogram to go far off scale.
My conditions became very hazy as the loops developed but I'm glad you had decent seeing for these wonderful images.
