Staggering variety of solar activity on Sept 10

Post by gabrieli »

Sometimes, the sun's activity makes up for so many of the disappointments over this past season. The seeing on this day wasn't especially good but the variety made up for that with AR's and all kinds of proms .

Here are today's products taken with an LS80 and LS152, both in DS configuration.

Well done Lou.
I love the delicate fibers of the large prom. So much more detail than what I could pull.

Super detail in these shots Lou! Not managed to get my scope out in nearly a month now, hoping for a chance this weekend.

Thanks, everyone

This was an unusually productive session. It struck me after a few days of what that long wispy prominence reminded me of.
It's a (religious) statue I saw in France which I'm sure I saw (or a copy of it) during one of my Paris trips but looking it up on Google image claims are that it is in a place called Ecouis, at their Notre-Dame church, north west of Paris, that I've never been to. Anyone have any further information?

You really do come up with some wonderful image comparisons, the statue really does fit the prom in an amazing coincidence. You have an excellent memory for these things :bow
