Sol from the 19th of September 2017.

Post by eroel »

Hello:
Just after recording the avi that makes the 2 versions of the FD´s shown, I heard the seismic sirens houling and the 7.1 Richter earthquake started to rock the roof observatory at home.
It was really strong, all the bottles and things that I had on some shelves fell down and I could not stay standing, the electric system on the city was down and the nobreak of the PC began beeping, I had to go down but the stairs down looked like made of rubber and waved all over, when down so to go to the dedicated seismic reunion place in my garden, the doors were slamming and the chandeliers were almost hitting the ceiling, 3 bronze sculptures made by my wife fell down, the books on the library fell down, so it was a really terrifying expereince and though I also was on the 1985 8.4 Richter earthquake in México City, I felt this one worse.
So now I have a memorabilia solar image on one of the most terrifying and deadly experiences, that has taken many lifes and destroyed buildings, monuments, shools and homes.
Fortunately we the city inhabitants are used to this phenomena and know what to do, so the casualties are low for the 20 million that live in and around the city, nevertheless the city is on mourning.
Best wishes to all,
Eric.

Hi Eric: I saw the horrible news on TV and I am close to you and all of your nation in this very difficult moment.

I am very happy you and your wife made it out OK: the things can be replaced, but not your lives.

We saw the earthquake on the seismometer we have at our observat

Glad to hear that you and your wife are okay, Eric. It sounds terrifying. Our thoughts are with those not so fortunate.

Nice FDs.

I'm glad you posted Eric, as soon as I saw the news was thinking about you. The important thing is that you and your loved ones are safe. You got some sun too! :)

I also have been worrying about you too Eric, I was hoping you would post soon to let us know how you were, I didn't know if you still had internet though. I am very relieved. You have some wonderful full discs, I hope everything will calm down and you have no more, this has been quite a run of earthquakes. The main thing is that you and your family are safe and well.

Hi, Eric

My hopes are for the best for you and all the people that have endured this terrible event. We only have rare small tremors here where I live now but, when I was a small child of 4 or 5 years, living in a small hill town in southern Italy, I remember vividly waking up during a small quake and, in the morning, found the side of the hill leading down from our town had become terraced. My sense of security went out the window.
