Two images of today.
Bresser 127-35nm filter-pst etalon 1-circular polariser-pst etalon 2-Lunt BF1200-Powermate2,5x-3 degrees wedge-Grasshopper3.

Practice makes it a bit easier to focus with the doublestack. The results:

Hi, Bart

This is very impressive. Right now, I'm trying to decide how to use a double stack arrangement with a large ERF setup. Single stacking either a PST etalon or Quark Combo doesn't cut it. I'm playing with double stacking a PST etalon with my Quark Combo but so far the view is a bit dim.
One hesitation I have in buying another PST for a DS setup is that the current PST looks a bit different than the one I cannibalized for its etalon.

Would you know if the back and front threads between the current PST etalons and older PST etalons are the same?

Lou

Hi Lou,
Thanks!
As far as I know the threads have stayed the same, so that would be M51x1. Maybe somebody else can confirm. Bart.

Lou,
As far as I can see, the latest PST have an anodised "gold" tube rather than the original brass tube.
The eyepiece holder as previously mentioned also appears to have been increased in height - making it more difficult to focus a camera and image.
The etalon assembly, black box design (and the over load of Loctite!!!) is unchanged.

Back to the images........very nice indeed! The DS PST mod appears to be working very well.

Thanks Alexandre, Stu and Mark!
@Mark: is the only difference between this DS experiment and the one you tried, the addition of the circular polariser?

Great PST images.
You look to have uniform PST units.

Don't really know Alex if they are really uniform or if Photoshop helps a lot. Plus it is a cropped image, not using the whole of the CMOS.
