09/30/17 closeups with Lunt 50 + Quark DS

My first post, & the best I could do on 09/30/17 with very poor seeing

Not bad pictures. Contrast is nice, just a better focusing and you are almost there :-) The good seeing will be also helpful.

A good start perhaps try a wider field of view with the smaller aperture.

I believe that the problem is not the focusing only. The diffraction is the main limit. The scale on the pictures is about for 2-3x larger apertures. If the Quark produces such a large scale, it is necessary to use about 0,5x to 0,7x reducers.

Good views! Like Valery says, try a reducer on the camera.
