Nice one Paul. I checked out your site to look at your Mod. What kind of Glasspath are you using?

Thanks Paul! I just noticed that a 150 mm f8 Skywatcher is just a fraction heavier than my127 mm Bresser. So if I can catch one second hand I might give it a try.
Where did you mount the glass path? In the 2 inch nosepiece you screw in the etalon?
Thanks again, Bart.

Thanks Paul, hope I can ask you some other questions.
How did you calculate the distance between the glasspath and the etalon?
And how did you calculate the exact position of where in the light path the glasspath had to be positioned?
CS, Bart.

Hi Bart...

I am not that familiar with these correctors, and have read the detail on the Baader site.

I was wondering if they are serving as telecentric lens, or used to extend the focus to permit the modded filter to reach focus?

Thanks for the information on your system,
Brian

Hi Brian,
I would use the 1,25x glass path to make the beam a f10 beam instead of a f8 beam. The front lens of the etalon provides a parallel collimated beam to the etalon. But it works when the light that enters the etalon is f10. So you have to go from f8 to f10. The difficult part for me is where to put the glasspath so that it does not work as an aperture stop. But Paul is the one who is definitely more of the expert here, it is his system.
Another way would be to remove the front lens of the etalon and put a 4x telecentric before it. But I have learned here that airspace etalons don't work that well in a telecentric beam.
Bart.

Hi Bart and Paul...

The use to get to f10 makes sense for the PST etalon. Thanks for the update.

I wasn't paying attention to who made the posts on the thread, so I best thanks you both ;)

Hello everyone ,
I put the glasspath here because I did not see better results by sticking it against the front lens of the etalon.
this solution has been used for a long time by other astam here.
have a good day
Paul

I used this glasspath in front of my telecentric x4, to have a total equivalent of x5. Works well.

Hi Paul, I allready found a relatively cheap 150mm F8 Skywatcher. So at the moment I am rebuilding it into a 150mm PST mod. And will use the same setup you described, so with the 1,25x Baader Glasspath. Thanks for showing me the way!
Bart.
