Sunday Sun 8th October
I have a saying about the weather here in the north west of England.... "we don't get good weather, we just get gaps in the bad" and never has this seemed more appropriate than in recent weeks with all the cloud and rain we've been having; gaps usually appearing when I'm at work!. Today we had a lucky weekend gap in the weather, as a strip of blue opened for JUST long enough for me to get set up and catch a couple in CaK and Ha....literally!
First up, CaK mono taken with my Lunt B600 module on a 72mm f6 scope.

and in colour......

Then over to the red end of the spectrum using my Lunt60 DS PT to capture to capture this FD.

I used AS!3 to process the SER files, ImPPG to deconvolute and PixInsight to refine and colour.
Thanks for looking.
Stu.

Very quiet Sun but at least you got a view! I can't believe I seem to be the only place in the UK where the Sun hasn't shone today. usual drizzle and grey, am I cursed?

Re: Sunday Sun 8th October
Your experience matched mine exactly Stu..................... just a large enough gap in the grey grot to capture a few images
The gap closed before I could take a look in Calcium K or white light so... nice to see you managed at least 2 'lights'

Re: Sunday Sun 8th October
I'm not convinced that weather pattern is reserved solely for the north west! Great images Stu.

I think you're right David. Seems to be endemic around the regions this year.
