Check out a cool Questar 3.5" Duplex I bought recently - Serial number: 5-DP-8835_BB

Fitted, velvet-lined carrying/storage case with key (leather covered w/door pouches)
Eyepiece and Filter Case (laminated wood w/foam lining)
Brandon eyepieces; 16mm and 24mm
Screw-in front lens cap
Three legs for tabletop use
Solar filter
Synchronous Electric Clock Drive
Power cord for the Synchronous Electric Clock Drive
Plain blue dew cap/barrel cover (no star chart or moon map)
Nikon Camera Adaptor

Davis & Sanford (now Tiffen) Heavy Duty Factory Tripod

I already used it for solar observation and it is great

Pedro,
If I remember correctly the first 5 indicates it was made in 1975,85 or 95. Duplexs were introduced in 1966 and the
designator changed to two digits in 2000. The Questar Corporation will tell you which if you contact them with
the serial number. They maintain details of registered owners.
Best wishes,
David
