PST40 vs Lunt50

Hello,
I would like to consult you the following subject: I would like to start in the solar observation H alpha, and I am not very clear which telescope I can be better, if the PST 40 or the Lunt 50 B600, I would use it for visual observation.
I currently do not have a refractor telescope, so I do not wanna ask for the Daystar chromosphere model.
Is there a difference between the two models?
Any clear advantage over each other?
Nor do I consider the higher models, such as the Lunt 60 B600 or the Coronado Maxscope..60, I do not know very well whether at the visual level would be a clear advantage over the above mentioned, but in money!

Better to tell us your maximal budget for the solar H-a telescope. Then it will be easier to advice.

In the UK the Lunt 50 costs 1258 gbp and the PST 880 gbp.
Are the views in the 50mm worth a 50% premium.....hmmmm

I'm going buy a Lunt 50 next, i've had several PSTs.

My budget maximun is 1500 euro, but in my country the PST 40 is 990 euro and the Lunt 50 B600 is 1500 euro (the Lunt 50 B400 is 1250 euro ), but the question is if the PST 40, is similar in visual observation to Lunt 50 ,B600 or B400...others questions are if the Pressure Tuner is a best system that the employed for the PST40. Also, if the DS in the Lunt 50 best compared with the DS of the PST...

I would always go for pressure tuning now compared to tilt tuning...

I also recommend a pressure tuned LUNT. I have two - LUNT60 and LUNT152. The LUNT60 is mainly used for FD imaging.

I had a lot of uncertainty as well when I was considering a telescope - especially one so specialized. I eventually went with the Lunt based on the idea that, despite its (considerably) higher price, I felt that it would hold resale value better in the case that 1) solar astronomy turned out not to be as fascinating as I had hoped and I wanted to sell the scope or 2) solar astronomy turned out to be more interesting that I had thought and I wanted to sell the scope to get a better one.

As it stands right now, I'm far closer to option 2. I went with the Lunt 80 and have not been disappointed one bit. The optical quality is superb. Unfortunately, I can't speak for the Lunt 50 or telescopes made by others. But you may want to consider resale value as part of your decision

All I can say Paul is that if you are a visual person then above all else get a scope that is double stacked within your budget and you will be very happy. For visual a double stack is a must have as it makes seeing (contrast) on the solar surface so much easier. It is like night and day. I loved my PST and enjoyed using it for 2 years but when I bought the double stack I couldn't believe my eyes, I kicked myself and commented that I had been missing half the Sun. I adore my double stacked PST and wouldn't give it up for the world.

Faced with this uncertainty, I would greatly appreciate an opinion on this, if they do not care.

I would go for whichever scope gives the best image if you can try them, if not, I think I would err towards the Lunt if being used visually.

In this case I would probably go for the double stacked Coronado PST. It would cost just a little more than the Lunt 50SS here in the states.
