Steve:
Nice discs, though I think that you have to get rid of the hot spot on the lower left corner.
Have a nice and Sunny Sunday,
Eric.

Steve:
1-How do you have your system set up?
2-Have you tried the 60mm Lunt without the Coronado etalon?
3-Have you tried the 60mm Coronado etalon?

If both work OK, it is probably an adjustment issue of the second etalon, so I would first try each etalon separately to see if they work fine and get an even solar disc, then I would install the doublé stack etalon and make some test rotating it in front of your Lunt etalon until you get the best position, (don´t know if your Coronado has any adjustment at all) if so, then you will have to deal with that too.
I just have Coronado etalons, some old 40mm made by David Lunt, and also some new ones made by Meade like the 90mm one.

Hope some other friends jump in and let us know what they think,
Best regards,
Eric.

Hi Steve,

Wish you all the best in getting uniform disks. Like what Eric mentioned, adjust the single etalon first and then move on to the double-stacked......

Alfred

Lovely contrast on the features :bow :hamster: It does look like the ghost to me. Have you tried just tilting it a bit to get it just out of shot? My PST is like this, I get maximum on band contrast when the ghost is sat right on top. I have to just tilt it just off disc to image. The contrast suffers a little but not too bad.

If you can get a circular polariser between the 2 etalons you'll kill off that reflection https://www.amazon.co.uk/BPLUSWCP77-Cir ... B0000BZLAD
