Today's SUN (20171202) | LUNT50 images

Tried a LUNT50 belonging to a friend. It's nice small solar scope but it is almost impossible to reach focus with the original focuser. I used a coronado BF10 instead. A few solutions can be found in the following link:

Gracias Eric

The LUNT50 is a great solar scope for observing the sun and for imaging as well

Hi, Pedro

Thank you for your continued postings at a time when some people have downgraded weather. I also have to add that when you use a curved
backdrop as in your Lunt50 images you show how meticulous you are in your imaging - a nice touch.

Lou

Good shots Pedro! I'm pleased with my 50 so far. I think a Coronado blocker is the way forward with regards to focus and this scope, not sure about some of those lengthy versions on SGL. I'm looking forward to spring when I can get out imaging again.

Thanks guys

Lou: I had to do an artificial flat field to get an even image with the LUNT50.

Mark: It's not easy to reach focus with the original focuser. I used a Coronado BF10 and it worked fine. There are more options though:
