The Solar Chromosphere - 28th January 2018

Post by David_The_Bears_Fan »

Finally the Sun makes it above the tree line. I've been limited to occasional visual-only obs of the Sun since the end of November so really nice to get a bit of imaging done this past weekend. The Sun now clears the trees for an hour or so around midday, just need the weather to play ball now

There was not much (nothing) to see in white light so I focused on Ca-K. The surface detail was nothing special but the proms made the day.

Excellent news! I was just wondering when I might see the Sun again, it must be only a week or so away :hamster:
