AR2699 today

Post by ffellah » Mon Feb 05, 2018 11:09 pm

Hello all: I had a quick lunch break today and tried a new point and shoot camera on 2699. Not sure why the the disk edges are so bad....

At least I was able to image the new AR.

Hopefully this weekend, weather permitting, we will all have something to image with our scopes.

There is some hope..... :)

Clear skies to all.

Franco

Looks like a winter saw tooth sun to me. A great disk never the less which shows the new spot well.

Plenty of distortion there with the atmosphere.

Thank you all for your comments. Derek is right, it must be the atmosphere that created the distortion on the edges. Yesterday was clear here at mid day but fairly windy.
