Hello again everyone. It is probably over a year since I last posted on the forum as I have spent the last year in my workshop building loudspeakers. I finished my last pair a few weeks ago and decided to get back to some astronomy. I was encouraged to get back to solar imaging because a friend of mine came up with a neat alternative to the Lunt PCUSB pressure controller (cost ~£900 in the UK). I will place a separate posting in the 'Solar Scope Mods' section of the forum website. It works beautifully.
Anyway, here are a couple of shots from yesterday's frosty morning; low sun and mediocre seeing. Full disc is 2 panels with Lunt 152 DSII and ASI174MM camera, AR 2699 with same scope at 1.4m fl and ASI290MM camera.
Regards to all.
Gordon

Good shots Gordon, good to see you back too. Definitely interested in the pressure tuner mod (and also the speakers!).

Re: Sun on 13 Feb, and a Pressure Tuner Modification
Thank you all, for your comments.
Mark, Franco, have a look here for loudspeaker stuff https://www.flickr.com/photos/74614447@N02/albums. If any questions arise it might be better to mail me privately, after all it's not what Solarchat is about.
Mark, I spoke to Roger yesterday about his pressure tuner mods and he has asked me to hold off spilling the beans just yet. He has submitted an article to Astronomy Now and doesn't want to jeopardise his chances of getting it published.
