AR12662 in two lines Ca II K and H-a with a 280mm aperture.

Post by Valery »

Hi all,

February is the most cloudy month here at the south of Ukraine.
Time to time I review all my last years achievements in the solar imaging.
I know, that most of you are also under dense "cloud carpets" and may be
it will be interesting for you to remember what our sun showed us these
sunny days last year.

Here are the images of the middle sized sun spot AR12662.
The images were taken morning June 20 2017.

280mm F/10 Celestron SCT coupled with the ARIES two bands DERF full
size filter were used and double stacked CaK 2,2A filters as well as a double
stacked Ha filters.

To see the images in their native resolution - right click on them and choose to open
them in a separate window.

Thanks for looking.

Valery

Mighty fine images Valery!

I like how when we look closer in CaK it gets a bit softer

Thank you, guys for your kind words.

Hope for some solar activity later this season - when my big solar guns will be mounted outside.
