Alfred, can you describe your sharpening routine with the granulation shots please?

I'm also interested in your image processing routines and how many images you combine (I guess less than 10)

Hi Pedro and Mark,

My processing:

a. Step 1: I use AS!2 to stack about 180 to 200 frames from a recording of about 4000 frames.
b. Step 2: Next I use the LR deconvolution and Unsharp masking in ImPPG to post process the stacked image.
c. Step 3: The final step is to do noise reduction first with Topaz Denoise followed by other processing in PS (e.g. unsharp mask, contrast adjustment, level, curve stretch etc). I find doing the Topaz Denoise a crucial step before final PS pp.

As for PS processing, it is an art thing - just do different tweaks to get desired effects :)

To All - please share your sharpening routine. I would like to learn from you too.

Alfred

Hi Pedro,

I notice that Christian stack very few images. I have tried it but the outcome was poor. For my recordings and processing, I need to stack more than 130 frames to get sharp granulations. I think the secret to stacking fewer frames is in the way the post processing is done. Must learn it from Christian.

Thanks Bruce and Ronnie for your kind comments. I have re-configured the C8 for H-A imaging. I will not be doing G-Band images for the time being.
