AR12706 High Res in H-a 280mm SCT + ARIES DERF

Post by Valery »

Hi all,

Today was a clear transparent sky with a moderate seeing condition.

Here is the best image out of dozen I have recorded and processed.

280mm F/10 SCT has been used with the ARIES 295mm full aperture two bands filter.

The AR12706 was moderately active during these recordings. Several small mini-active

areas were seen on the sun disk. I will try to process their images and if they will come out

OK, I will add them here later.

Thanks for looking.

Valery

Hi Valery. Remind me what camera you are using here? What is the pixel size? You're using ROI to get down to the ~1300x900 frame size - how many fps with this?

Thanks, Mark

Hi Mark,

I do use the Basler 1920-155 camera with it's maximal fps (full size) of 160fps.

I do use ROI typically with 1450x1000 or 1500x990 and depends of the exposure time I can get up to 200fps.

With this particular image, if the memory serves me well, the fps were about 190-200.

What a wonderful image. If you use SSM, I'm curious what was the indicated seeing value during this capture.
I hope to post more pictures of this excellent AR12706.
