Hello
In the past few days I made some pictures of AR12706. The group is now declining, today I have counted only 11 spots most very tiny, yesterday they were 14 and on the 21st about 18. Some images are attached including a disc of today.
I had time to do some further experiments with Daystar Calcium Quark. The device is relatively insensitive to variations in tuning but I noted it is quite sensitive to the focal ratio. Although advertised for scopes as fast as f/7 I noted that it requires at least a f/10 cone to perform best, and still better to have something around f/11 - f/15.
Regards

These are very nice images! They've turned out well. Interesting about how the CaH filter performs at longer focal ratios.

Thanks! The group is now vanishing, the follower spot disappeared leaving only some "dust" behind. Here is how it appeared just one hour ago.
Best,
