AR12706 and Proms April 25

Post by Dave S » Wed Apr 25, 2018 9:29 pm

I had some passable seeing and clear sky today so it was a good chance to catch AR12706 in the full frontal position.

Hu Dave,

Excellent images to my taste! I like both sufrace and prominences.

I believe that there is a great potential in surface details scale increasing. A 160mm aperture can deliver much more details.

Personally, I got three lengths of reducer body - ther give different scales of image at the camera chip. The better the seeing, the larger scale (less reduction) I do use.
