Quick CaK Full Disk 26th April

Post by marktownley »

Managed to grab a quick CaK full disk before leaving for work today - 20 minutes later sky went from cloud free to total cloud cover. Taken with the 40mm f10 at ~500mm focal length with the homebrew CaK filter and the PGR Chameleon 3 camera.

Always nice to have a bit of sun before work in a morning!

Thanks guys!

I hope I get some good seeing too. These early mornings are my best window of the year, but need another month or so for it to clear the rooftops a bit more and get higher in the sky.

Nice disks, Mark, well done, it is remarkable how very good CaK (or CaH) images can be obtained with very small apertures.

Nice images, Mark. The weather report doesn't look promising for imaging at any time; rain and gales over the weekend and into next week.

Hi Mark,

Nice CAK FD image. It has been very cloudy and raining on this side of the world.
