Today's SUN (20180520) | Taka EM400 first imaging session

WEBLINK:

First solar imaging session with my new Takahashi EM400. I have to say that this massive equatorial mount is great, very heavy, great tracking, no backlash, very responsive.

Check out a few images below

Nice! But... but... I can't see any difference in performance vs images you normally doing with EM200. :)
All are equally nice.

OK. Have you ever tried to image with 152mm scope in the dome and outside, from a grass lawn?

Thanks Valery

The EM400 is very stable and does a better job (better tracking). I will try to use all my large refractors with it (inside the dome)
