AR12709 remnants close up in the Ca II K line.
Hi all
Early morning of May 15 was a clear with a slow breeze. The seeing was variable from so so to good.
I deceided to image the sun in CaK first.
Equipment used: C11 280mm F/10 SCT on the EQ8 mount, ARIES full size 295mm two bands DERF,
PST CaK filter, Basler 1920-155 camera.
The Sun was blank and only a tiny remnants of the AR12709 group were seen. It looks best in the CaK line.
In the H-a it was hidden by the chromosphere and in a white light it looks like a tiny pore barely detectable
on the desert background.
Such a large scale 0,13"/pix is necessary for correct sampling at such a wave length.
Thanks for looking and comments.

Excellent resolution Valery
You have the capture/processing techniques well adapted to this type of hi-res work.

Brian, nothing special in capture&processing, really. If one has a proper equipment and is able to catch
seconds of good seeing, this all. The post processing is quite simple.

Thank you, Eric!
BTW. When do you plan to start imaging with your 10" TEC Mak and 10" ARIES DERF?

That's a great "diamond dust", Valery!
TheSkyBurner, that's an interesting comparison indeed.
